More Information
Summer Sight-reading will be on Thursdays, July 17 and July 31, 2025 from 7:30 – 9:30 pm and on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, also from 7:30 – 9:30 pm. All music is available on imslp.org. You don’t have to be a member on imslp.org to download your music, but membership is only $3.49 a month or $32.00 for the year. Membership takes away the download time for each piece of music.
Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition music is under the Transcription tab. Norma is set to print on legal-size paper, so print on one side only and it takes away the errors of printing on letter-size paper. On July 17, 2025, there is a concert in the Sanctuary that begins at 7:00 pm. Please park at the back and enter the double doors on the right side. Mercer Hall is just up the hall.
Bring your music, music stand and instrument to Nardin Park United Methodist Church. 29887 Eleven Mile Road, just west of Middlebelt Road. All sessions are free to attend. Plan on almost two hours of playing through music without stopping as long as we are still together on the page. Perfection? Absolutely Not. Fun? Absolutely Yes.
For questions on how to download your music, or any other question about the sight-reading or Orchard Lake Philharmonic, please email Barb Goldman for assistance at BarbGoldman@sbcglobal.net.
